Description: This bulletin is to provide special guidance in avoiding a critical issue for the users those are using OR planning to upgrade to above impacted releases.
When Twinax cable is used with Mellanox QSFP-to-SFP Adapter & the VDX Switch running the above impacted releases is reloaded, the cables may fail to come up on bring-up due to SEEPROM corruption. The impacted cables may need to be RMA’ed.
As a workaround, we recommend to disable POST Diagnostics prior to firmware upgrade OR reload to eliminate the risk of SEEPROM corruption.
